Summary
This fragment consists of one piece of parchment of which the edges are folded in and that is now used as a cover for a small 15th-century paper register containing the rents owed for chantries in the church of Our Lady in Bruges. The fragment contains obits and details about the rents for chantries, presumably also founded in the same church. The rents refer to places in Bruges (the Zandpoort) and around Bruges (Ruislede and De Panne). The layout of the writing on the page suggests that the original document from which the fragment is a remnant was probably a roll rather than a bound register.
