Summary
Synodal Epistle on the Granting of an Indulgence for the Veneration of the Blessed Sacrament
The synodal epistle is bound in as the final leaf (fol. 270) of the host volume. Its scribe is Johannes Freudenberger, who is documented as a scribe of the Council of Basel. The date 1404 can be corrected to 1434 with a high degree of certainty.
The front and rear pastedowns also contain parchment strips from an 11th-century Lectionarium officii (Fragments A and B), while the front pastedown further contains two 15th-century paper fragments with Medieval Latin poems (Fragments C and D). Fragment D is probably also in Freudenberger's hand.
