Two parchment leaves of an Evangelion bound at the end of a 14th-century codex of bombycin paper. The leaves are written in pointed upright majuscule script.
The text is laid out in two columns, 22 lines per column. The initials in many cases are decorated and placed to the left of the main body text indicating new sections. In addition, the text provides some abbreviations, mainly nomina sacra, and ekphonetic notation.
