Summary
Two gothic fragments, perhaps from a missal, used to bind a 15th c. Office for the anointing of the sick ms, which was written for the sisters of St. Katherine in Nuremberg. In a 15th c. German red pigskin binding with a single clasp and 4-strand braided bookmark. Two smaller fragments with mostly illegible text seemingly written in northern textualis, perhaps from the same manuscript, have been pasted on the inside of both boards, though they do not extend to the edges. See F-pd1x for more information about these fragments. Two larger fragments with thick, black staves have been pasted over the smaller fragments and cover the insides of the boards in their entirety.
