...maintenant. Et ainsi.../...quil me vueille rasasier.... Part of the French prayer "Tres doulce dame," from a fifteenth-century Book of Hours known as the St. Alexis Hours. Full border of acanthus and rinceaux in gold and colors with birds and other creatures. Roundel miniature in the outer central margin of recto and verso. Recto: St. Alexis approaching a walled city; Verso: St. Alexis in formal garb standing at the gate of a building, perhaps a church. Dismembered in the 1990s. This leaf offered by Charles Puckett Rare Books, stock number IM-3499, current location unknown.
