Summary

These 30 fragments, together with one leaf now in the Bodleian Library (MS Douce 381, fol. 13) represent 33 full leaves that once formed part of a thirteenth-century miscellany of Middle Dutch texts that comprised at least 258 leaves. The original volume is known as either the 'Enaamse codex', referring to the Benedictine abbey of Ename where it was supposed to have been produced, or as the 'Rijmboek van Oudenaarde', indicating that it contains mostly verse texts and that it probably originated in the city of Oudenaarde or in its vicinity.
