Kalends/ Octobre a xxxi iours.../S Remy.../...vigile. Calendar page for October (includes Cerbonius on 10/17, a Paris commemoration), from a fifteenth-century Book of Hours known as the St. Alexis Hours.  Full border of acanthus and rinceaux in gold and colors with birds and other creatures. Roundel miniature in the outer central margin of recto and verso. Recto: Man scattering seeds on a ploughed field (labor of the Month for October, Sowing); Verso: Scorpio. Dismembered in the 1990s. This leaf offered by Philip Pirages Rare Books, stock number ST12835. Current location unknown.
