The end of the Gospel Reading for St. Matthew and the beginning of the Gospel Reading for St. Mark, from a fifteenth-century Book of Hours known as the St. Alexis Hours. Full border of acanthus and rinceaux in gold and colors with birds and other creatures. Roundel miniature in the outer central margin of recto and verso. Recto: St. Mark writing on a scroll, attended by his lion; [no image of verso]. Dismembered in the 1990s.
