Summary

Four strips, likely from quire guards, visible between just inside the front flyleaf (II) and the back flyleaf (III) of each of two volumes. The flyleaves themselves are made from discarded sheets from the same printing. The strips come from a charter issued by the General Vicar of Bishop Otto of Constance (1480-1491) and dated March 31, 1484.

The Host Volume was in the abbey library of Rheinau.
