Exeter, Exeter Cathedral Library, FMS/1

General Information

Title Orosius, Historiarum adversum paganos libri vii
Shelfmarks FMS/1
Material Parchment
Date of Origin 10th century
Script, Hands

There is only limited evidence from the original script visible in this strip. It is found in the stub of the second leaf that formed the bifolium. This includes instances of a, l, q and 2-shaped r, as well as a red rustic capital (I?) and a capital V filled in orange. The recto shows a marginal addition with a signe de renvoi which may be the work of the same scribe.

Despite the limited evidence, it is safe to assume that this was part of the same manuscript as FMS/2 and FMS/2a. See their description here.
