Written in a continental form of Caroline minuscule from the 10th century. Minims have no elaborated feet, the bowl of a, which is often triangular, is rather large; straight-backed d is used mostly, although rare instances of Uncial d are found in the preposition ‘ad’ on FMS/2 recto (line 8) and verso (line 8); 2-shapred r used after o; ampersand favoured, but Tironian nota also seen (FMS/2a recto, line 34).

Red rustic capitals used for explicit and incipit on FMS/2 recto.
