More about the Condition

The information on the original and current condition are based on Mertens (1978, 57-61).

Current Condition

Extent 2 bifolia (trimmed)
Dimensions 202 x 159 mm. Leaf 1: 202-208 x 132-142 mm; leaf 2: 200-210 x 156 mm; leaf 3: 180-216 x 140 mm; leaf 4: 182-204 x 156-159 mm
More about the Current Condition

The outer margins are damaged or trimmed, resulting in some text loss. The parchment has hardened and there are glue residues almost everywhere.

The two bifolia are bound back-to-back in a small folder. The order of the text is: f. 1 - 3 - 4 - 2. In the “Reconstructed Sequence,” I have adjusted the order.

Remarks

It is very likely that these two double leaves were once pasted into a binding as endpapers or something similar, but this can no longer be ascertained. The fragment belonged to J.F. Willems and was acquired by the Royal Library in Brussels in 1846 along with his collection.
