Based on the existing text, it seems that there would have been 4 leaves between the two surviving leaves; thus these two leaves are possibly the third-innermost bifolium of a gathering.

Staining from leather turn-ins around the corners of the leaves and other water damage. Minor tears, especially around sewing holes.
