Reconstruction Summary

Two partial paper leaves from the same manuscript. The first contains Alexander of Hales' Summa Theologica, book I, tract. II, q. 2 (De distincitone et expositione articulorum symboli apostolorum), c. 2. The second is an as-yet unidentified theological text. Repurposed as pastedowns at the front and back of the post-incunabulum CL 6160, an edition of Jodocus Clichtoveus' De bello et pace opusculum, Christianos principes ad sedandos bellorum tumultus et pacem componendam exhortans from 1523.

In addition to a bifolium from a liturgical book used as a cover for the host volume (Frauenfeld, Kantonsbibliothek Thurgau, CL 6160, Cover), the Hales fragments are accompanied by parchment pastedowns from a manuscript of Aquilinus Iuvencus' Historia evangelica (Frauenfeld, Kantonsbibliothek Thurgau, CL 6160, Parchment pastedowns).
