Four strips serve as transverse spine linings. Furthermore 13 strips (not part of this digital facsimile) serve as sewing supports placed in the middle of quires between ff. 18-19, 30-31, 54-55, 66-67, 78-79, 102-103, 114-115, 126-127, 136-137, 147-148, 159-160, 171-172, and after f. 200.
Apart from the strips still in situ, the host volume Cod. 3816 included once also two pastedowns. The latter were detached from librarians in the 19th or 20th century and added together with further fragments to the physical reconstruction of the original manuscript (Epitulae Pauli), kept under shelfmark Cod. Ser. n. 2065. The two former pastedowns are now foliated f. 46 and f. 47 respectively.
From the original manuscript survived 211 items most of them collected in Wien, ÖNB, Cod. Ser. n. 2065. Other fragments remain still in situ in Wien, ÖNB, Codd. 1953, 2996, 3247, 3781, 3816, 3839, 5001 and 5426.
