Summary

The 16 leaves preserved under shelfmark HS.2541 come from a large multi-volume manuscript of the Spiegel historiael that probably contained the whole text and was composed of four volumes. Other fragments, from volumes 1, 3 and 4, are now preserved in Bruges, Brussels (ms. IV 1001, ms. IV 543, ms. IV 827/1, ms. IV 827/2, ms. IV 828) and Leiden (Ltk 2179). A single leaf once in the town's archives of Sint Anna ter Muiden is no longer accounted for.
