...[do]mo david et nomn virginis maria./...et quod nascetur ex te san[ctum]... part of the Gospel of Luke, from a fifteenth-century Book of Hours known as the St. Alexis Hours. Full border of acanthus and rinceaux in gold and colors with birds and other creatures. Roundel miniature in the outer central margin of recto and verso. Recto: An angel dressed in white with golden wings stands next to the Virgin Mary Verso: an angel dressed in red with yellow wings stands behind Mary who is looking upwards.
