Summary

The text contained in this fragment is part of the so-called 'Bijbelvertaling van 1360' or 'Hernse Bijbel', the first Middle Dutch translation of the whole Bible. See De Bruin, C. C., Het Oude Testament: Eerste Stuk: Genesis - II Koningen. Vetus Testamentum Pars Prima: Genesis - IV Regum (Leiden: Brill, 1977), p. 376-378.

This particular fragment, which includes the translation of both the Bible and excerpts from Petrus Comestor's Historia scholastica, is not listed in the catalogue of surviving Middle Dutch biblical manuscripts; see Biemans, Jos A. A. M., Middelnederlandse Bijbelhandschriften. Codices manuscripti sacrae scripturae Neerlandicae (Leiden: Brill, 1984).
