Summary
Petrus Comestor, Historia Scholastica, IV Regum. f. 1: ch. VI-IX; f. 2: ch. XIII-XVI; f. 3: ch. XXI-XXV; f. 4: ch. XXVII-XXX. Two parchment bifolia, formerly first and third in a gathering of four bifolia. Western Europe, 13th century. Latin, gothica semitextualis libraria. 302 mm x 230 mm (dimensions of one leaf, folded). Rubrication; red and blue capitals with alternate color penwork flourishing. Ruled and lined in lead, two columns of 41 lines; pricking visible at outside margins. Column dimensions: 211 mm x 55 mm. Formerly used to reinforce binding, some square trimming in margins. Commentary in margins from at least two contemporary hands.
