History
The fragment was discovered in 1868 by Augusto Soromenho at the archives of the canons of Guimarães (Portugal). Soromenho gifted the fragment to R. Chalon of the Académie Royale de Belgique. The fragment has been in the collection Ghent University Library since at least 1895.
It is unknown when the fragment entered the collection of Ghent University Library.
Host Volume
Used as binding for archival documents related to the year 1588 at the archives of the canons of Guimarães (the later annotations prove this: '[...]gem de 1558 años', fol. [1]v; '1558', fol. [2]r).
