History

Provenance

In the 16th century, host volume belonged to the nun Mariken Cornelis (ex-libris, fol. 172r); afterwards, to the nun [xxx]ken Janssens (ex-libris, fol. 48v, name is partially illegible).

In 1656, the book came in possession of one Antonijn Tonissen, who got it from an unidentified nunnery, possibly the same nunnery where Cornelis and Janssens resided (ex-libris, fol. 48v).

In the early 20th century, the book came in possession of Louis Philippen, a priest, archivist and collector from Antwerp. The collection of Philippen moved to Leuven University Library after Philippen's death in 1946.

Persons and Institutions Mariken Cornelis (owner of host volume, 16th century); [xxx]ken Janssens (owner of host volume, until 1656), Louis Philippen (owner of host volume, until 1946)
