    History

    Origin

The host volume is a manuscript copied in 1720 by a student from Cluj, possibly at a Jesuit college abroad (Trnava in Slovakia is the most likely candidate).

    Provenance

Inside the host volume, a slip of paper bears grammatical notes in Latin and German, the name "Lachovicz Nicolaus" on one side, and the following list of names on the other side:

"Adamus Vino?; Anselmus Pichler; Casparus Lednicki; Franciscus Mus; Franciscus Irmel; Jacobus Scorovski; Ioannes Vertniak; Ioannes Papus; Nicolaus Laczkovicz; Nicolaus Besian?; Simon Perger; Sebastianus Stroser; Thomas Dedinsky; Thomas Butikovicz; P. Iosephus Nunkovics". In the 18th c. the volume belonged to the Jesuit college of Cluj.
