History

Remarks

Later added (17th-century?) ex-libris on fol. [2]r: 'Sum ysemberch diuitis / regnalibus maiestatis saie[xxx] / diues cui satis est'. The final line is a Latin expression, meaning 'The one who is satisfied, is rich', and possibly a motto.

Ysemberch (Isenburg) was a duchy in the Holy Roman Empire, and was ruled by the family of the same name.
