A glued page (almost) completely covered 20 lines on f. [1]r and [2]v, rendering parts of the text difficult to read.

Host Volume

Title Account related to the city of Nivelles, kept by M. Berlo
Date of Origin/Publication Nivelles
Place of Origin/Publication 16th century
Persons M. Berlo (account keeper)
Remarks
The fragments were used as a cover for an account kept by one M. Berlo in Nivelles, according to later-added inscriptions. In the left lower corner of fol. On fol. [1]v, in the lower margin and three times in inner margin: "Penser n’y fault / Berlo". The motto 'Penser n'y fault' appears several times across the leaf, and was possibly the motto used by M. Berlo's family.
Other inscriptions on the leaves refer to transactions that were possibly kept in the host volume. The inner margin of fol.
The outer margin of fol. [2]r contains the inscriptions "M.
There are several probationes pennae on fol. [2]v, among others: "Penser n’y fault / Berlo” and “Spes mea deus / Thieullier". On fol. [3]r in the lower right corner: "penser n’y fault" (twice). On fol. [3]v: "Jesus ma aima".
