General Information
Northern gothica textualis libraria.
Fragments are a remnant of the same manuscript as Antwerpen, FelixArchief, 2201 # 23 (F-gnxr on Fragmentarium). Another fragment from the same manuscript may be Antwerpen, Museum Plantin-Moretus, R 34.3 (pastedowns), (F-5p5s on Fragmentarium).
Original Condition
Running titles in upper margin.
Current Condition
Fragments are bound together with a string, with fol. [2] being bound upside down.
Fragment contains several 16th-century inscriptions (possibly probatio pennae), mostly names of people: 'Jongbouwens' (fol. [1]r), 'Balesar' (?) (fol. [2]r), 'Jan veruoort', 'Jan vervoort Controleur vanden bieraccij[s]en' (fol. [2]v). The last two inscriptions refer to Jan Vervoort, then-current controller of the beer assizes in Antwerp and the keeper/scribe of the host volume.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation

Host Volume
Both leaves were used as pastedowns in a register of the assizes of beer in the city of Antwerp for 1557. This particular register was kept by controller Jan Vervoort.
A modern paper slip with the note '1557-1' is attached to the leaves with a string, referring to this origin.
