Provenance

Fragment originally formed part of the archives of the Benedictine Abbey of Ename (Eastern Flanders) kept at the State Archives in Ghent. The fragment was exchanged with Ghent University Library.

Remarks

Fragment was discovered by Ferdinand van der Haeghen, head librarian of Ghent University Library, around 1898.

Fragment was used in the binding of a register kept by the Benedictine Abbey of Ename; the exact register is unknown.
