General Information
An Northern Italian Gothic Textualis written by a single hand.
Marginalia in a different, later hand.
Original Condition
Two columns of the Decretales Gregorii IX (Liber Extra) surrounded by a commentary written in a smaller, more condensed Textualis, and other marginalia.
Current Condition
The leaf has been repurosed as a pastedown at the back of the incunabulum. Another, smaller fragment -- from the same parent manuscript -- has been pasted transversally at the bottom of the wooden board.

The parchment is stained in places and there is evidence of wood worm damage.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Two-line penwork initials in red and blue with ornamental penflourishes in red and violet marking chapter divisions.
