Not all copies of Tales of My Native Village are bound in antiphonal leaves. It is unclear why these three copies are. Copies 1 and 3 have price "16/-" in pencil on front flyleaf, along with gift inscriptions (Copy 1: "To J.E.D./Christmas 1945.'/from/Nan & Brian./With love." Copy 3: "To Mother/with best wishes from Eddie/Christmas 1945."). Copy 3 with loosely inlaid identification label of the Royal Academy Exhibition of British Art in Industry of 1935 (Code H/128; Serial No. 48), noting Net Published Price of 16/- and Classification "9".
