Several of the fragments were cut to fit as flyleaves in their respective host volumes. The strip and leaf of 2201 # 49 were once attached with glue, to create a cover large enough for the host volume. They were separated from each other at an unknown point.

2201 # 19 contains medieval handwritten notes as well as pen drawings. On fol. [1]r, manicula are visible as well as small pen drawings of a birds' head and a dog.

2201 # 26, fol. [2]v contains a later added Dutch poem: 'O tijt o tijt o eedel tijt vaar sijdi mij ontronnen / Ick hebbe verloren mijnen tijt / Hoe qualick bin Ick besonden / Mocgt Ick bescrijden mijne tijt dat dat waar ter goeder tijt / soe hadde ick wel gewonnen maer nae desen tijt en comet geen / anderen tijt die vij v dienen connen dan reden te geuen van / alle den tijt dat moetten vij leren connen'. The same poem can also be found in Brussels, KBR, II. 270, fol. 146r.

2201 # 27, fol. [2] contains traces of mold, which is also present in the same spot of its original host volume.

Versals alternating red and blue, two- or three-line pen-flourished initials alternating blue and red with pen flourishes of the other colour, initials in the main text placed in a separate column, rubrics in red ink, red paraphs.

Remarks

The fragments were used as flyleaves in five different registers of the assizes of beer in the city of Antwerp that were kept between 1563 and 1568.

The registers were kept by respectively Johannes Maechs (for two registers kept between 1 August - 31 October 1567 and 1 November 1567 - 31 January 1568), Jan Goidschalck (for two registers kept between 1 February 1563 - 30 April 1564 and 1 May - 31 July 1567, both under supervision of steward Lambrecht van Kessele) and Lambrecht van Kessele (for a register kept between 1 November 1567 - 31 January 1568). The keeper of the sixth register (T # 1446, for the years 1563 and 1564), remains unknown.

Fragments were removed from their respective host volumes at an unknown point; the fragments that shared a host volume were bound together with string and a paper label that referred to the host volume.
