General Information
Northern Textualis in black with red highlighting on minor initials and red rubrics; some red minor initials.
Chants for 18th to 22nd Sundays after Pentecost.
Original Condition
Foliated LIII on recto.
Current Condition
Was used as a binding fragment; extensive damage about halfway down the leaf, presumably from the book's spine. Leaf was also folded inward, glued around the edges, and has two of its corners cut off.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Per McGill's long form description:
"Recto: Two three line initials (S, O). Blue and green inks with shades of gray. Initial (I), in blue ink, extending along six lines on left margin. Verso: One three line initial (S) in green ink. All initials are surrounded by hair spring and flourish decoration, in red and blue inks, which extends along the left margins. On the top of the left margin, in verso, the decoration ends in a running dog, drawn in red, a symbol of watchfulness and fidelity in Christian art."
