Original Condition
p vii? in brown ink in the top centre of the recto. The symbol before the roman numeral is difficult to decipher.
Current Condition
Extensive damage from being used as a binding. The entire inner margin has been trimmed off as well as the corners. There is worm damage and general wear at the center of the folio where the spine of the bound book would have been (including some evidence of straps along the spine). Additionally, there are significant remnants of glue on the recto and the ink is badly flaked and faded on the verso.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
In the margins, striking long (between 6 and 11 line) initial 'I's for the Gospel readings in alternating red and blue ink.
Other initials are smaller (a two line 'M' and several coloured capitals in alternating red and blue.) All other capitals are highlighted in red.
