One hand, beautiful late Caroline minuscule with very few proto-Gothic symptoms (rare round -s in final positions). No feet applied to minims, only the half-uncial morphology of the d, ampersand throughout.

The fragment was cropped from the centre of the leaf, and contains almost the entire written area (29-31 lines). The fragment was stuck superficially to the spine of the former host volume, and it was easily detached.

Provenance

The host volume was printed in Erfurt, for a bookseller from Jena, in 1696. It has no ownership notes or ex libris

Persons and Institutions The host volume (a list of drugs available in Erfurt pharmacies in 1696) belonged to the Unitarian College of Cluj, although it lacks the usual ex libris. It was probably donated by a chemist from Cluj.

The fragment was loose, and was separated from the host volume on 4 December 2025. The volume shall be rebound.
