Petrus de Tarantasia, Postilla in Thomae de Aquino Super I ad Corinthios
F-se0p
General Information
Gothic textualis hand of the type often associated with university books. Compressed script which loses its angularity for shorter, rounder strokes. Rather short ascenders and descenders. Two-compartment a used regularly. Small form of g with a very short descender that stands on the baseline. 2-shaped r after o and frequent use of biting. High s is common, with a trailing form of round s found at word-end finished in a hairline below the baseline. Occasionally full round forms are found at the beginning or end of words. Low r reaching below the baseline. In t, shaft cuts across the horizontal bar. Conversely, in c, whose shape is almost identical, this is not the case.
Annotations in the margins (some near contemporary, some later), along with the numerous interlinear additions, corrections and underlined sections attest to a frequently used text.
