Single leaf, previously re-used as limp binding for a 17th-century manuscript on paper. The leaf has been trimmed along the bottom edge.

Book Decoration and Musical Notation

Description

The fragment contains part of a Romanesque vine-stem initial executed in red and violet ink, with green watercolour or ink wash used to fill in some interior spaces (fol. [1]v). The fragment also contains red rubrication (fol. [1]v).
