Fol. [1] is used as the host volume's cover, while fol. [2] is used as a quire guard in the middle of the book. This caused most of the upper margin of fol. [1] to wear off, while most of the upper margin of fol. [2] has been preserved.

The outer margin of fol. [2] was sewn to the leaf with a string.
