A certain degree of lateral compression is observed, which is already turning round strokes into slightly angular ones. Short ascenders and descenders. The form of a has an almost straight back and a short, horizontal stroke for head. A similar horizontal (approach) stoke is found in most minims (particularly visible in i and u). Although straight-backed d is favoured, an uncial form is also occasionally used. The tongue of e is very short and sloping. g has a small, closed head from which a (long) horizonal, finishing stroke ligatures with the following letter. Its tail is oval, forward-leaning and closed. 2-shaped r consistently used after o, but biting is still unusual. High s reaches slightly below the base line and superscripted s is common at word-end, although not consistent. Tironian nota stands on the line and its horizontal stroke is longer that the vertical one, which is as high as all other minims. Ampersand is only found at the beginning of sentences in a capital form. Despite the imminent lateral compression and subsequent angularity, the forms still maintain a reasonably wide module. Punctuation seems limited to punctus simplex with the occasional use of punctus elevatus.
