History
Fragments were used as bindings (wrappers?) for registers in the late 16th and early 17th century according to marginal annotations across the fragments. These registers were possibly kept at a parish church ('..des fabrikhoeder Parochis Kerke...'), according to a note on fragment B.
Marginal annotation (hand 3) on fragment a: “kellere pro a, 1571, 1572, 1573”. Marginal annotation (hand 4, 4 lines) on fragment b: “Rekeninge van uytgaeff Lakenscheijers aniers(?) genaempt … als Rentmeester des fabrikhoeder Parochis Kerke wegens den nieuwen thoren vant iaer 1565”. Marginal annotations (hands 5 and 6) on fragment d: “Anno 1604” and “Cellaria pro 7 annis 1602 y 93 (?) 1608”. Marginal annotation (hand 5?) on fragment e: “pro capitulo 1605”. Marginal annotations (hand 5?) on fragment f: “1606” (3x), “1607”.
