History

Provenance

The host volume belonged to the library of Elbląg (Elbing) Gymnasium. The Gymnasium, founded in 1535, was the oldest school of this type on the territory of Prussia. The library was established in 1601. The volume entered the collection probably in 1726 (inscription on the title page: d. Cal. Maii 1726 donat.)
