Nasta'liq hand (red)
Written in 14 continuous long lines, with 14 lines of interlinear translation. Script in Arabic is written in black ink in naskh hand. Persian written in red ink in nasta'liq hand. The moshaf to which this leaf belongs is composed in Arabic. The Qur-ānic text contains the third surah (chapter) of the holy book, āl'imrān ("The family of Imran") with the recto containing āyat 3:72-79 and the verso containing āyat 3:79-87.

Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Outer border in red and black; textblock with border of blue, red, green, gold, black, and indigo. With 3 mm illuminated roundels/circular markers between āyahs (verses) to denote the end. The āyah makers of this leaf are rosettes (also termed florets) in which a round black design with intersecting lines encircled by four dots has been placed over a gilded circle with intersecting red lines seemingly imitating an eight-petaled flower. Multi-coloured and gilded jadval, an oblique rekābe, and a black and red kamand.
