More about the Current Condition

Incomplete spine wrapper and three small fragments in the headband and tailband. The original spine wrapper measured c. 87 x 200 mm; the central part of the fragment, measuring c. 44 x 200, was lost. The two spine fragments are the remains of a single spine wrapper. Thus, the texts on each column are continuous.

Provenance

The host manuscript was copied at the Jesuit College of Trnava (Lat. Tyrnavia), now in Slovakia. It belonged to, and was probably copied by/for Franciscus Kecskés: ‘Magistri Francisci Kecskés Societatis IESV' (front pastedown, s. XVIIex). On f. iir, another hand wrote: 'Logica R. P. Gotthardi Gelb è S. J. Tyrnaviæ'. Gotthard Gelb taught Logic in Trnava in the academic year 1696/1697.
