On the recto side of the leaf, there are three raised and decorative capitals in alternating blue and red with the opposite color being penwork around and behind the raised capital. The bottom capital "I" has penwork that extends almost to the bottom of the leaf. Light gray ruling is visible between some of the lines of text.

On the verso side of the leaf, there is light gray ruling along the right side of the text and across the top. Gray ruling is also visible between some of the lines of text.

On both sides of the leaf, there is a double gray line across the bottom, between 30 and 50 mm from the edge.

Partial leaf that has a translucent quality due to the thinness of the parchment. Both sides are moderately foxed and dirty with smears of what looks like black ink. Separate from the foxing are grease stains, two in the bottom margin near the light gray lines on the recto (side with the raised capitals), which is more pronounced on the verso. On the verso there is a dark circular stain along the upper edge, with several stains in the bottom margin near the right-hand ruling, above the two gray lines.

There are folds in the parchment along the spine edge with several small holes either at the edge or just barely away from the edge. On the edge where the rest of the leaf was cut away, there are at least four holes that have been cut into the text that correspond to a fold-line. This fold-line and the holes would indicate this leaf was cut to be used as some sort of flyleaf or interleaf within a book. The direction of the fold is toward the recto (side with the raised capitals). However, there is another fold-line horizontally within the bottom margin that folds toward the verso.  

Below the text on what used to be the center of the parchment, insects have eaten away a section of the bottom margin. There are several additional (visible) holes in the parchment, listed from the top down: a comma shaped hole along the fold-line in the top margin; on the first line of text 110mm from the end of the line; a larger hole extending from the top line of text 90mm away from the first hole that extends down into the second line; two small holes below the second deliberate cut into the text; across from those two holes in the margin is a small hole; and at the bottom in the margin are four small holes that look little bigger than pinpricks. However; when the leaf is held up to the light, true pin-prick holes appear throughout the text starting on the line below the line for the raised capital "B" and extending down to the last line of the bottom margin note.

There are interlinear and margin notes on both sides of the leaf. 

On the recto, in the bottom margin near the spine edge written in pencil is "MLC // 346". Meanwhile on the verso, near the right-hand orginal gray ruling, in pencil, has been written, "25".
