Host Volume
The fragments were used as flyleaves in a register of the assizes of beer in the city of Antwerp kept between 1 May and 31 July 1567. The register was kept by controller Jan Goidschalck under the supervision of steward Lambrecht van Kessele, who served in his third year as steward.
The offset of fol. [2]v is still visible on the lower inner cover of the host volume.
A modern paper slip with the note '1567-4' is attached to the leaves with a string, referring to this origin.
