General Information
Northern textualis with German features.
Original Condition
Foliated xxvii and lxxi in the right hand margin.
Current Condition
Two leaves in good condition from separate parts of the same volume. Almost certainly broken for the art market in the early 20th century; obtained separately.
Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Per McGill's long description: "Eight initials in brown ink, surrounded by running patterns of beads and curlicues. One initial, in red ink, also surrounded by beads and curlicues, extending along the left margin of F. IIr. Also, five initials alternating between blue and red ink, without decoration."
Red/blue initials mark the beginnings of chants; black ones begin verses. The initial beginning the Tract for Good Friday is slightly more decorated than the others.
Hufnagelschrift, fairly narrow, on a five line staff with both C and F clef (the latter comma-shaped.) 9 staves per page. Small check-shaped custodes.
