Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Description
Initial "S" in red, blue, green, and yellow, with detailed circular and foliage motifs. Inital is framed with a helical pattern which continues down the side of the page and across the lower margin. The letters "PIR" are given elaborate penwork in black, with green and pale yellow scalloping.
Square notation in black ink on red four-line staff, four per page. Faint lines of division present. Custodes at a 45-degree angle; slightly curved c-clef, f-clef somewhat rectangular.
