General Information
Large northern gothica textualis formata.
Fragment was dubbed the 'Charterhouse Antiphonal Fragment' by Kennedy and De Bakker (2022) because of its provenance.
Original Condition
Medieval foliation using Arabic numerals on recto side in right corner (resp. '1' and '10').
Probably outer part of a quinion. Catchword ('Super') visible in lower right margin on fol. 10v.
Prickings visible in outer margin.

Book Decoration and Musical Notation
Fol. 1 illuminated with ornamental (foliate and gilded) border decoration and historiated initial, depicting Christ as the Man of Sorrows. Blue plain initials and versals, sometimes with red penwork. Cadels, red rubrication, red line fillers, yellow colour stroking.
Square notation on four red staves.
