Possibly used as a hooked endleaf that was pasted down. Fold line and stitching holes visible; staining from leather on outer sides of the leaf.

It is noted in University of Leeds legacy records that this leaf is removed from University of Leeds Libraries, Special Collections, Ripon Cathedral Library XVIII.F.17. The size of the fragment does not match the leaf size of the book exactly, and there is no material evidence tying this fragment to this book.

Remarks

The binding of the book is repaired and a modern bifolium is added on each side of the text block, serving as endleaves.
