History

Provenance

According to a later added provenance note on fol. [1]r, the fragment was owned at some point by one 'Gijsbert Gerit Bartszoen (or 'Aertszoen', according to a note on fol. [2]v) tot Wijck', who used it as a binder for registers. The exact place which is meant with 'Wijck' is unknown, as the name was in used for several places in the Low Countries.

The fragment must have entered the collection of the State Archives at Ghent somewhere in the 19th century, according to the provenance stamps on both sides.

The fragment was transferred to Ghent University Library, as part of an agreement to exchange documents in the late 19th and early 20th century.
