More about the Current Condition

The bifolium has been detached, trimmed and repurposed as a pastedown at the front of the host volume. It has subsequently been lifted and now functions as a flyleaf.

A strip of parchment from the same parent manuscript has been pasted over a crack in the front board as part of repair efforts. Only the last letters on the lines are visible.

The parchment is stained in places and shows evidence of wood worm damage.
