General Remarks

The scribe wrote a Northern gothica textualis and probably spoke langue d'oïl, judging from linguistic features of the text. Bossmer localises her in northern Poitou.

History

Provenance

The book containing the fragments belonged to the library of St Peter's Abbey (Ghent) since at least 1598; the collection of St Peter's Abbey was transferred to Ghent University Library in the 19th century. The fragments were discovered by Ferdinand Vanderhaeghen, librarian of Ghent University Library, in the collection of the library in 1877.
