Description
Initials in blue, with red penwork decoration in a fine nib. Originally part of a collection of leaves from the same book, some of which had illuminated initials which the auction house localized to Italy based on classical motifs in the foliage.
Square notation on a 4-line red staff with C and F clefs. 6 lines of text and music per side.

Purchased by the current owner at the New York International Antiquarian Book Fair. The seller relayed that the leaves for sale were bought on auction, likely in Europe
